Create an account and workspace
- Go to app.retrac.co/register and sign up with Google or your email.
- After sign-up you are taken to the welcome screen. Click Create workspace, choose a name and URL slug, then confirm.
- Retrac automatically creates a default location called Inventory for your new workspace.

Add your first item
- On the Inventory page, click Add item (or use the
Ckeyboard shortcut). - Fill in Item code (SKU), Description, and Cost. Supplier is optional.
- Optionally assign Tags and set an Opening quantity for the currently selected location.
- Click Create item.

Create additional locations
- Open Locations in the sidebar.
- Click Add location, enter a name, choose a type (warehouse, van, truck, site, or other), and save.
- Repeat for each physical place you track stock.
Your plan limits how many locations you can create. See Billing for plan details.

Set stock at each location
For items that already exist:
- On Inventory, select the location from the dropdown at the top of the page.
- Open the item’s ⋯ menu and choose Adjust stock.
- Pick the location, enter the on-hand quantity, optionally add a note, and save.

Make your first transfer
- Open Transfers in the sidebar and click Create transfer.
- Choose a From location (source) and To location (destination). They must be different.
- Add one or more line items with quantities. Only items with stock at the source location are available.
- Add an optional note and submit.

Invite your team
- Go to Settings → Members.
- Click Invite member and enter their email, or copy an Invite link to share.
- Choose a role (Owner or Member) and optionally set Location access per location (None, View, or Edit).
Recommended daily workflow
- Morning — Open inventory filtered by location and verify on-hand counts.
- During the day — Record transfers when stock moves between sites, vans, or warehouses.
- End of day — Skim Movements to confirm everything that happened is logged.
